SEGMENT FOR STUDENTS

Grades 6-8

This interactive program begins with us sharing some current news stories on both bullying victims and bullies. Then an open discussion on bullying definitions as well as differentiating what is not bullying. We discuss consequences of bullying and the nature of reporting (being and Up-Stander, not a bystander.) Cyberbullying and social media are also addressed in great detail. We talk about some signs and symptoms of bullying and the current laws for both physical bullying and cyberbullying. We also address children with hidden disabilities (Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, etc.) This program is meant to empower the children to support and report.
